Non-uniqueness in the Inverse Gravity Problem for Infinite Polygonal Cylinders

The inverse problem of potential theory is discussed and conditions are examined under which it is possible for two different uniform infinite cylinders with polygonal crosssection to produce exactly the same external gravity field.
