Torsion and Extension of a Tube with Different Moduli in Tension and Compression

The problem of the torsion and extension of a circular cylindrical tube is studied for small strain theory for a material which has different moduli in extension and compression. The solution is completed in detail for an incompressible solid circular cylinder.
